Honda's vision

Grounded in its basic philosophy of respect for humanity, Honda launched R&D efforts involving racing wheelchairs in 2002. The goal was to help a broad range of individuals realize their dreams and experience the joys of mobility. Since then, Honda’s delivered racing wheelchairs that help athletes sponsored by the Honda Group achieve their fastest possible speeds. Beginning in 2019, under a new structure whereby Honda, Honda Sun, and Yachiyo pool their individual specialties and strengths to establish more solid foundations, the Honda Group seeks to communicate the joy and wonder of pushing oneself to one’s limits, tackling challenges and making dreams real, and expanding awareness of wheelchair racing and athletics for people with disabilities.

The wing-shaped main frame is the product of carbon technologies developed for F1 racing and HondaJet. It combines superior physical properties with sharp, motivating design.

Built-in steering damper

Newly-developed to be even more lightweight, this steering mechanism encloses the damper and other steering parts inside the frame, protecting critical driving components while enabling a clean and elegant front fork design.

Ultralight Hight -rigidity Wheels

The new carbon wheel structure is both ultralight and highly-rigid to transfer maximum power from the athlete’s arms to the road. The number of carbon sheet ply can be customized with up to two additional ply for athletes seeking even greater rigidity.
